When Pavel joined Crassula, the company was just getting started. He was one of the very first engineers to come on board, working with a small but ambitious team of just three developers. Together, they tackled everything - both backend and frontend development - laying the foundation for what would eventually become the Crassula Core Banking System.

As the platform gained traction and the company began to grow, so did the engineering team. Original developers stepped into leadership roles. Their deep knowledge of the system and hands-on experience made them the perfect fit to guide Crassula’s next phase of development. This is when Pavel was promoted to the Lead Software Engineer position.

Today, Pavel is leading a dedicated backend team of seven engineers, working closely with the Product Manager to continuously enhance Crassula’s core product. His team plays a key role in building the robust infrastructure that powers Crassula’s flexible fintech solutions.

“It never gets boring,” says Pavel. “The product is constantly evolving, the business is growing, and there’s always a new challenge to solve. That’s what keeps me engaged after all these years.”

Longevity at one company doesn’t have to mean stagnation. For Pavel, each year at Crassula has brought fresh challenges, new technologies to explore, and opportunities to grow as a leader—all of which fuel his motivation to keep building. Pavel’s case is not an exception, since at Crassula we have a low turnover rate of just 2% among those who have passed the probation period. A tangible part of employees stay for many years in the company and grow along the career ladder.

Employee Wellbeing and Culture at Crassula

We constantly monitor the wellbeing of Crassula employees and take questionnaires. The results of a recent survey showed several key strengths:

Corporate culture, leadership, and team spirit are consistently highlighted as some of the company's greatest strengths.

Employees particularly value the stability, strong reputation, meaningful work, and growth opportunities that Crassula offers.

In fact, 96% of employees consider Crassula an ideal place to work, with responses ranging from "Definitely yes" to "Most likely yes."

One of the most appreciated benefits is the flexible and comfortable work schedule, which stands out as one of the highest-rated aspects of working at the company.

Pavel highlights that one of the most important aspects of working at Crassula is the way the company treats its people.

“People come first,” he says, emphasizing how clearly you can feel that management genuinely cares and trusts their employees. There's a strong focus on results, not micromanagement—everyone is treated like an adult, with the freedom to own their work.

That trust, Pavel believes, creates a powerful sense of responsibility and motivation: "When you know management trusts you, you naturally want to deliver your best and never let them down."

Remote Work and Travel Opportunities

Another big benefit is remote work opportunities. Pavel initially joined Crassula working remotely and for the first 4+ years he worked from different countries. During this period he lived in Malta, France and Spain. This gave him the opportunity to combine work with travels.

Pavel’s journey from one of the first hires to a team lead is a testament to Crassula’s commitment to growing talent from within.

Crassula is constantly looking for motivated experts to join our team! If you are interested in working at Crassula make sure to keep an eye on open positions on our Linkedin.
